Attitude of Gratitude

Attitude of Gratitude

We pray for strength, provision and

For God to bless us all.

We lift up friends and family

And brothers who may fall.

We ask so many things of God;

He listens patiently,

And then He does what He knows best:

Takes care of you and me.

Instead of asking blessings that

We think we want or need,

We really need to listen more,

Our Father’s voice to heed.

How would it change our lives if we,

Instead of asking things,

Would use prayer to surrender and

Then see just what God brings?

I think I’ll try a different prayer,

Surrendering my heart,

And thank Him for the things I have.

Today is time to start.

“I thank You for my blessings and

I pray Thy will be done.

Please mold me to the image of

Your great and Precious Son.”

Feel free to print, share or repost anything on this blog. I do ask that you let me know if you use one of my poems on your blog or at your church somehow. It might give me an idea of better ways to spread His words, which I am always looking to do. And of course, always keep the copyright symbol and my name with the poem so I continue to have the right to use them. You may not realize that if something is posted enough times without the copyright notice, I could lose the copyright and then someone else could conceivably file for a copyright and I would no longer be able to use my own poems! It has happened, so please make sure the © is always on the poem whenever you repost. Thanks!

God bless,

Denise McKenney

So beautiful…and thought provoking. Reminds me to have an attitude of gratitude. I have found that God’s way is always the best way.
