I want to thank Barry Atwell for the seed for this poem. I hope this does his idea justice.

All Roads Lead to God
“I don’t need Jesus,” some may claim.
“All roads will lead to God.
I’ll worship any way I choose,
Though you may call it odd.
My Buddhist and my Hindu friends
May take a different path,
But still find God without the need
For all this talk of wrath.”
I hate to say that they are right:
All roads do lead to God,
But if you choose to get to Him
By paths all bent and broad,
You’ll come before God’s great, white throne
To kneel on Judgment Day,
And there—too late!—profess the Truth:
Christ is the only Way.
Yes, Jesus is the only key
That opens heaven’s gate.
So please accept His sacrifice.
I beg you not to wait.

Feel free to print, share or repost anything on this blog. I do ask that you let me know if you use one of my poems on your blog or at your church somehow. It might give me an idea of better ways to spread His words, which I am always looking to do. And of course, always keep the copyright symbol and my name with the poem so I continue to have the right to use them. You may not realize that if something is posted enough times without the copyright notice, I could lose the copyright and then someone else could conceivably file for a copyright and I would no longer be able to use my own poems! It has happened, so please make sure the (c) is always on the poem whenever you repost. Thanks!
God bless,
Denise McKenney
